Tour to Crocodile River

The Ramganga River is essential to Corbett; in fact, Corbett would not exist without it. It is the largest of the Park’s precious few permanent water sources. The Ramganga is a stream that originates at Gairsain in the Lower Himalay as and travels over 100 kilometres before entering Corbett around Marchula, thanks to a rainstorm. It travels around 40 kilometres through the Park before entering the fields at Kalagarh. As it passes through the park, water from the Mandal, Sonanadi, and Palain rivers gathers.

Important marine species like mahseer fish, endangered gharials, mugger crocodiles, otters, and turtles live in the Ramganga. Many kinds of avian animals depend on the Ramganga, including terns, storks, fish-birds, and kingfishers.

Nature walk
Birding Watching Trek

The Park is also home to a large number of reptiles, including the Gharial, a fish eating crocodile and the Mugger, which is a marsh crocodile. The Ramganga river that flows through the Park provides an ideal habitat for these thick-skinned, amphibious beasts.Crocodile river is 12 kms away from our resort. The path from our resort to crocodile river is full of natural fertility.
